Before she moved in with Teppei, Sylvia van Hossen was a perfectly respectable young girl. The fact that he is from a rich family, despite the fact that he is not from the aristocracy like her, explains why their parents want them to be married. Sylvia is not happy with this arrangement, but she may change her mind after a night of intense passion and stubborn outrage. She is a feisty and independent woman. Of course, she'll never admit it to him, but her actions and demeanour make it clear! Bishoujo game Princes' Lover!, which was eventually converted into a Japanese anime series, A chunk of Sylvia's storey that was omitted from the television series is included in this OVA. For those who have previously watched the show or played the bishoujo game, this will be a genuine delight, providing them with a deeper understanding of the characters and a greater sense of emotional connection, but for the rest of us, the results are mixed. With a 720p version that shows off some of its very stunning backdrops and an astounding degree of detail that you seldom see in a hentai game, there isn't much to complain about in terms of technical aspects. Characters like Sylvia, whose hair seems like it may slice you in half at any time, have a distinctive style with angular features. Although the fact that Princess Lover! is based on an existing successful bishoujo game and anime series surely boosted its budget, the praises are few and far between other than the fact that the Japanese language track is included. While Teppei attempts to build a relationship based on sexual desire with Sylvia in both episodes, she hesitantly gives in to the pleasure her body has found as a result. That said, everything but one sex scene takes place between the two of them, and as the episodes go on, this becomes more tedious. Not only that, but Sylvia's rants about honour, duty, how filthy he is, and everything else she can think of are nonstop as she is swindled in every direction. It didn't work even if I slapped her in the crotch, since she just kept going on and on about how wonderful it was. All I can say is that the chick needs a ball gag or something immediately! As frustrating as it is to read her ramblings during sex scenes, this isn't the only problem we face. Somehow, despite their great technological prowess, the hentai scenes often come off as nothing more than a cartoon clip show. Teppei and Sylvia seem to leap from one position to the next with no matching movement in practically every sex session, which isn't always a negative thing. Suddenly, he's lying on the ground and she's on top of him, doing her doggie style. This does not alter anything, but the rhythm of the sequences is ruined since it seems like you're seeing two separate films of them fighting. A hentai title, particularly one that plainly had the money to animate the filler motions, is not precisely what I'm looking for (useless as they may ultimately be). My pleasure in Princess Lover was greatly diminished by the combination of all these flaws! to the point that I found myself bored with both the setup and the characters. The technicals are truly the saving grace here, though I have no doubt that if you are already familiar with Princess Lover! This is a must-see and will probably treat you much better than it did me.
